Now, what do you do when you are believed to be a Mage but all your life you have never seen it or practiced it? Well, there might have been glimpses of it when you were very young but it was always done in secret and sometimes your great grandmother didn’t allow you to watch at all, like it was always done in secret? I think you yourself would be hard pressed to believe it, right? If it was me, I will definitely question the validity of that because I have never known that I was a Mage nor have I seen it being practiced around me. And when you talk about dragons, magic would not be far behind.
In Asian culture, particularly in Chinese culture, dragons are believed to be magical creatures and that they possess luck and goodness! In pictures and in movies as well, they look magnificent and beautiful! Totally out-of-this-world in their beauty. I, myself, believe (up until now actually, reminiscent of my childhood) that they really existed and just like dinosaurs, they just went extinct. We read about them in books and see them in movies. Turns out coming to Germany wasn’t an escape but his awakening.Īs children, I think we all have heard stories about dragons and magic. It may take a hot second, but as Cameron learns more about the scarred Alric and the life he’s landed in, Cameron realizes that perhaps this is where he’s meant to be, magic and mates and kidnapping and all. Because of course he is, and mates are meant to take the blame, right? So, how does he end up discovering his lost magic heritage, running from bad guys with a secret agenda, and being adopted by the not-so-extinct Fire Dragon clan?Ĭameron blames tall, dark, and sexy Alric, King of the Fire Dragons. With a new mechanical engineering degree, a new job looming, and a whole life planned out that isn’t his, Germany seems like the best place to find himself. Cameron wants to make it clear that he did not go into the festival to find a dragon mate.
