I want readers to connect with the different aspects of the various struggles of the characters and offer them positive role models instead of the tired, old stereotypes we see in books and movies every day. Stardust Emerging focuses on close relationships and how trauma impacts the bonds created. The story continues with, In The Wake of Stars, hitting selves in August 2021. The second installment of The Starless Series, Fading Starlight, released in June 2019, examines the fight towards health and healing through community support. My goals with writing have always been to depict mental health issues as realistically as possible––to open the door to a more realistic view. With my experience as a feminist and a mental health practitioner, I believe my insight into a myriad of perspectives surrounding mental health would be a great fit for a space opera.
